For patients who do not have access to a car, or are unable to walk to our medical centres or get to appointments, a number of options are available:
Rural Community Transport covering Bude and Holsworthy areas Pick-Me-Up 01409 259001
- Ring and Ride—a door-to-door service for all ages, wheelchair and scooter friendly.
- Volunteer Car—a door-to-door service charging 45p per mile with times to suit your appointments.
- Community Minibus Hire—for community groups and charities, self-drive or with driver.
A wheelchair and walker hire service is also available at £10 per week.

If you are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV), you are able to get help through the NHS/RVS Volunteers for transport to and from medical appointments. Please follow the link: NHS/RVS VOLUNTEER RESPONDERS or call 0808 196 3646 8am to 8pm 7 days per week.

CANCER CARE CAR
A door to door car service for patients living in Devon, needing to travel to North Devon District Hospital for oncology related appointments or other cancer related appointments at local hospitals. This service is only for patients who are unable to use public transport to get to their appointments and who do not have any independent means of travel.
Please call in advance of your appointment for information to see what assistance can be provided.
From 1st April 2021, fare structure will be as follows:
Journeys under 5 miles - £6.00 (single or return journey)
Journeys over 5 miles - £12.00 (single or return journey)
